Our Ministries: Elders

The following committees are convened by the Elders in order to lead our congregation effectively. Call the church office at to learn more about these committees or to volunteer to become a committee member.

First Contact Ministry

The First Contact Ministry oversees all aspects of outreach, from marketing and advertising, to greeting and providing programs for newcomers, to maintaining church rolls and family biographies.

Christian Growth and Development

The Christian Growth and Development committee provides programs to meet the educational needs of all members: children, youth, and adults. Read the annual report to the 2003 Annual Meeting.

Long Range Planning

The Long Range Planning committee has the mandate to oversee the changes, additions, and improvements to our facilities resulting from some important decisions we recently made about the future of our building and property.

Worship

The Worship committee is responsible for planning and supporting our worship services, including liturgy, music, communion, and the sanctuary.

Nominating

The Nominating committee presents a slate of candidates to the congregation for the election of Elders and Deacons at the annual meeting.

Stewardship and Finance

The Stewardship and Finance committee is responsible for the financial stability of the church. They oversee our pledging, budgeting, investing, and financing of capital improvements.

Property and Maintenance

The Property and Maintenance committee cares for our building and grounds. They recently undertook the installation of our computer network and software.

Personnel and Leadership

The Personnel and Leadership committee deals with the selection of our church staff and related employment issues.
