At First Presbyterian Church, two elected bodies, the Elders and
the Deacons, oversee the ministries of the church. We also host
a few guest organizations who oversee interesting and important
activities.
Elder
Ministries
The Session is the governing body of our congregation. The Session
is comprised of the Elders. To lead our church as effectively as
possible, the Elders chair the following committees:
- First Contact Ministry
- Christian Growth and Development
- Long Range Planning
- Worship
- Nominating
- Stewardship and Finance
- Property and Maintenance
- Personnel
Perhaps you have concerns in one of these areas, or you want to
learn more, or you would be available to help with any of these
ministries. 
Deacon
Ministries
The Deacons are elected to minister to the congregation. To fulfill
this responsibility, the Deacons chair these committees:
- First Caring Friends
- Hospitality
Perhaps you or someone you know has a special need, or you are
interested in assisting with this work.
Community
Ministry/Mission
Chaired
by an Elder and made up of Deacons, this ministry
represents a joint initiative aligned with our vision "Sharing
Christ's love through intentional acts of compassion."

Organizations
First Presbyterian Church provides space for these groups to enable
them to serve the community and to offer specialized activities.
