The Elegant Egg 2006

First Presbyterian Church and the Ohio Egg Artists Guild will present their fourth annual "Elegant Egg " decorated egg spring show and sale during Palm Sunday weekend. 

The Elegant Egg Show Show will run from 9 to 4 on Saturday and 1 to 5 on Sunday.

$1 donation will be split between Summer's Best Two Weeks Mission (last year we were able to give three full scholarships) and the cost of advertising.

Pancake Breakfast

A pancake breakfast will run from 9 to 1 on Saturday. Adults are $5.00; $3.00 for children 5 to 12; children 4 and under are FREE. Net proceeds will be given to the Summer's Best Two Weeks mission.

Egg Decorating Classes

Egg decorating classes will be available on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Classes are limited to 12, so please sign up on the Sign up Bulletin Board. Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.

Coloring Activity

Children are invited to color pictures to welcome visitors and "Eggers". Pictures can be found in the Church Family Bulletin Board Literature Racks. Leave completed pictures in the office bulletin board mailbox by April 2.

Decorated Basket Contest

Anyone who brings a decorated basket to the show will have his/her picture taken, may enter a drawing for an "Egg", and the baskets will be judged at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the following categories: Through age 12, and 13 through age 18, cutest, funniest, and most unusual. Adult categories are: whimsical, most atrractive, and most original. The winning baskets and owners will be displayed on our website and on a special bulletin board following the show.

Please Volunteer

To volunteer for a block of time for this event, i.e, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday afternoon, or some portion of those times, please put your name on a Fellowship Card during worship or sign up on the Sign up Bulletin Board. We need help for the pancake breakfast (servers and clean up), booth sitters, hospitality, information tables, etc.
