Information
Born in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, Dr. Ruppert brings many gifts to
the pulpit of First Presbyterian Church. His dossier portrays a
lifetime of faith, ministry, and scholarship, and a strong commitment
to family and community.

Dr. Ruppert has served on committees for various
judicatories in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) at both the Presbytery
and Synod levels. He also served from 1989 - 1991 on the New Wilmington
Missionary Conference (New Wilmington, PA) Board of Managers and
was a Career Vespers Speaker. Currently, he serves as moderator
of the Eastminster Presbytery Personnel Committee.
Locally, Dr. Ruppert is a member of the Strategic Planning Family/Community Involvement Committee of
the Akron Public Schools, Summa Community Health
Advisory Committee and Love Akron Covering Committee. He is a 1999
graduate of Leadership Akron, Class XV.
Dr. Ruppert's hobbies include basketball, running,
furniture refinishing, and listening to all types of music. He
especially looks forward to spending time with his wife, Margaret,
to whom he has been married over 20 years, and their two daughters.
